QUESTIONS BUYERS ASK

Questions worth understanding before buying in Cyprus.

Can non-EU citizens buy property in Cyprus?

What should I know about title deeds in Cyprus?

What checks should a lawyer carry out before I buy?

What costs should I budget for beyond the purchase price?

Is it better to buy a resale property or a new development?

Can foreign buyers get a mortgage in Cyprus?

Can buying property help with Permanent Residence in Cyprus?

How long does the property buying process normally take?

Once a property is chosen and terms agreed, reaching the Contract of Sale typically takes around 20–25 days. Full completion of the transaction, however, usually takes considerably longer, in many cases around six months, depending on legal checks, banking procedures and the specific circumstances of the transaction. Preparing documentation early, rather than at the last moment, is the biggest factor in keeping this timeline realistic.
